William Michael McComas was born on September 23, 1950 in Leavenworth, Kansas to William Garland and Martha Leah Wright McComas. One of his favorite jokes was that he was born in Cell Block E, which always made his mother roll her eyes in dismay.
He was a World War II Stuka Divebomber pilot who compiled an amazing record of destruction on the Russian front. He flew over two thousand combat missions destroying hundreds of tanks, gun emplacements and some one thousand combat vehicles of various types. His exploits even extended to Russian Naval craft having destroyed three major warships and hundreds of smaller landing craft. He returned to Germany and settled in Kufstein, Austria and became a well-known mountain climber despite losing a leg during a combat mission. She was born on December 21, 1945 to the late Willie Willard and Dorothy Allen in Cumberland, Maryland.

When Mike was four years old, Montgomery Ward transferred his father to their store in Pampa. Mike was active in Boy Scouts, Optimist Club baseball and Babe Ruth League, where he made lifelong friends. In the spring of 1967, Bill McComas was transferred to the Montgomery Ward store in Sheridan, Wyoming.
A lifelong resident of Greensboro, she graduated from Greensboro High School and on June 4, 1959 she married Reese Smith who was the former Sheriff of Greene County. Douglas Colin Tutcher, age 79, passed away on December 7th, 2022 at his Lake Sinclair home. Born in Douglas County Kansas, he was the son of Ernest and Margaret Tutcher. He joined the Air Force on January 2, 1962 and proudly served for 22 years.
For a number of years she worked as a cashier for T. A. Travel Center in Madison, GA. She was known for her love and steadfast support of her niece and extended family. Following junior college, Mike worked on a fishing boat in Alaska for two summers.
